APPROACH

Across four to five episodes we show how the two MINI Countryman are designed, built and used, from the designers' intention to the final experience.

Everything about this story exists in opposite pairs: white and black, Paul and Philipp, loud and quiet, crowd and solitude, speaker and headphones.
And yet, despite all these differences, music connects people. These two cars are proof of that.

I’d love for our series to become instantly recognisable in the feed.
My idea would be to create a “mixtape” of films, with every one of them opening in the same way:
A hand pushes a cassette into the car-mounted Walkman, the handwritten label carrying the episode title: "TRACK 01", "TRACK 02". They click play, and the film starts.

Like the cars, the visual language blends the contemporary with the nostalgic, honouring the past while looking forward.

The visuals sit between workshop and open landscape, between machine and human. This creates space for compelling contrasts: brushed aluminium against grease-stained thumbs, SLS print beds beside handwritten cassette labels, etc.
